The bailiffs of the Assembly had to intervene, Thursday November 28, 2024 in the evening, between several deputies, following an incident caused in the hemicycle by the MoDem deputy Nicolas Turquois, on the sidelines of the debate on the repeal of pension reform.
Nicolas Turquois climbed into the aisles during a session suspension, appearing threatening towards a socialist deputy, Mickaël Bouloux.“My family was threatened! And these are people from your village! »would have thrown the first to the second, according to “Le Figaro”.
The president of the MoDem group Marc Fesneau intervened, as well as ushers, before Nicolas Turquois ended up leaving the hemicycle.
The incident took place at the end of a tense day, during which the deputies of the government coalition slowed down debates on a proposed LFI law aimed at repealing the 2023 pension reform, in order to avoid arrive at a lost vote for them.
