The atmosphere already promises to be electric in the “Prairie” next July. The World Festival site in Ambert (Puy-de-Dôme) will once again welcome some great headliners. After Big Flo and Oli, Selah Sue and Claudio Capéo last year, here comes Julien Doré who is being sought after by all the festivals and Zéniths in . “It’s a big financial investment, but it’s worth it. Especially since it will be its only date in the region next summer,” boasts festival president Benoît Pascal.

The 37th edition also announces the presence of Robin Schulz, Ben Mazué, Rilès, Caravan Palace and the rising rock group Ko Ko Mo. Something to satisfy fans of French song, electro-swing, as well as fans of electro sounds or rap. The World Festival of Ambert, a clever mix of current music and traditional international dance groups, brought together 26,000 spectators last year in the small sub-prefecture of Puy-de-Dôme with 6,000 inhabitants.

Best festival in France 2023

Far from all the main roads, halfway between Clermont-Ferrand and Saint-Etienne (), Ambert has achieved the feat of being voted best festival in France in 2023. A performance that wows the competition and does well envious people. Especially since the event, with a very reasonable budget of 1.8 million euros, is 94% self-financed.

“We don’t just offer concerts. Coming to Ambert is a global experience on a human scale that combines music, good humor, gastronomy, family and friends. Our DNA is the joy of being all together, united in the same project. This is what makes our success,” analyzes Benoit Pascal who can count on a solid network of 250 volunteers.

Last year, the World Festival was sold out a month before the opening. All attendance records had been shattered. “Already 500 packs have been sold without knowing which artists would be present, because festival-goers know that they will find quality and atmosphere here,” smiles the director. The announcement this Tuesday morning of the future headliners should trigger a new rush to the ticket office.
