“We could propose a solution”, a French hospital ready to offer treatment to the singer

Suffering from a rare disease that forced her to withdraw from the media for two years, Celine Dion made her comeback in June with a new and touching documentary. On this occasion, a French hospital said it was ready to offer her treatment.

Celine Dion is back! The Quebec singer reappeared in the documentary I Am last month, looking back on the past two years of battling a rare disease she was diagnosed with while she was on tour. As you may recall, her announcement of her illness on social media caused quite a stir, especially since the artist was forced to postpone several concerts before ultimately canceling them. Celine Dion suffers from stiff person syndrome which mainly results in very painful muscle spasms and stiffness for which there is no treatment with the aim of curing it. The only medications that can be administered to people affected by this rare neurological disease are mainly used to relieve them.

Celine Dion wanted to raise public awareness through her documentary I Am about the disease, having tried various treatments which have so far been ineffective. This is why theMontpellier hospital takes advantage of the media hype surrounding the comeback of the singer to let her know that he could offer her a solution and help her recover.

A possible solution in two years for Celine Dion

At least, the IHU of Montpellier Immun4cure has decided to launch a call for donations on Wednesday, June 26, with the aim of funding for his research on stiff person syndrome. “If someone today comes with ten million euros and says to me ‘make me a biomedicine’, I’ll do it”commented the director of the university hospital institute Christian Jorgensen, on the airwaves of France Blue. He said he had contacted Celine Dion but that she had not “not followed up”. “It was still very complicated to get her to come to Montpellier”he then assured, fully aware that “The entourage of stars is always a little strange, a little vague, not very concrete”. “These are not necessarily people to whom we can offer a scientific development planso I don’t think that Celine Dion herself has had a concrete proposal but maybe with the press, it can reach her”he admitted.

Full of hope, Christian Jorgensen hopes to be able to “target and destroy the immune cells that produce antibodies that turn against the body itself”. “Today, we do it to treat polyarthritis and lupus, we know how to do it”he hammered home, giving himself a two-year deadline with “four engineers on the job”. We could offer him a specific solutionhe finally concluded enthusiastically.

Celine Dion at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games?

For now, we don’t know Celine Dion’s intentions, except that she wants to get back on stage at all costs. This is what she made known last month during an interview with TF1 and provided by Anne-Claire Coudray for the release of the documentary I Am. The interpreter of Vole who has made a new public appearance with her son René-Charles does not seem ready to publish a new album either, the last one – Courage – almost six years old. On the other hand, persistent rumors echo his possible participation in the Opening ceremony of the Paris Olympic Games on July 26.
