This Monday, July 1st, M6 won the bet with a Euro 2024 match. La Six offered the round of 16 between Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal and Slovenia. From 9:01 p.m. to 11:42 p.m., the match, which ended with a victory for Portugal on penalties, was followed by 4,57 millions of viewers, either 24,1% of the public aged 4 and over and 29,6% on the target of Women responsible for purchases aged under 50 (FRDA-50). Scores which allow the sixth channel to be at the top of the audience ratings.

For comparison, the match between the Portuguese and Georgia on June 26 was also successful for M6, which reached the top step of the podium with 3.74 million fans (19.8% of the public and 22.1% of FRDA-50).

The replay match turns to France 2’s advantage

France 2 follows with another rerun, that of its series “The Art of Crime”, carried by Nicolas Gob and Eléonore Bernheim. The first episode of season 3 entitled “A Phantom at the Opera” brought together 2,94 millions of fans, either 14,2% of the public aged 4 and over and 5,3% FRDA-50. An episode in which we find Dounia Coesens (“La doc et le véto”, “Plus belle la vie”), Agustin Galiana and Bruno Debrandt (“Caïn”). Last February, the rebroadcast of an episode of this series intrigued 2.96 million viewers, according to Médiamétrie (14.9% of the entire audience aged four and over and 6.4% of FRDA-50).

TF1 comes in third place with a film that has been rebroadcast several times: “Mission Pays basque”, with Florent Peyre, Élodie Fontan and Daniel Prévost in the lead roles. 2,13 millions viewers were captivated by the adventures of Sibylle, a young Parisian woman who tries to scam a hardware store under guardianship in the South-West. This represents 10,8% of the public and 15,5% of FRDA-50. During its previous broadcast on June 12, 2023, also on TF1, the film had achieved the best audience of the evening, with 3.04 million viewers (i.e. 16.5% of the public and 25.5% of FRDA-50).

France 3 brings up the rear with a French film: “Un village presque parfait”. The feature film from 2014 with Didier Bourdon and Lorànt Deutsch in the title roles has won over 1,59 millions viewers, which represents an audience share of 7,8% et 4,5% on the FRDA-50 target. During its previous broadcast in April 2021, the comedy had gathered 2.30 million viewers (10.1% audience share and 4.4% on the FRDA-50).

On the other channels, France 5 reached almost a million viewers with a new episode of “Nus et culottés”. 971.000 viewers followed the adventures of Nans and Mouts, either 4,7% of the public and 5,2% on the FRDA-50 target.
