the essential
The students of the Castelsarrasinois CADD Dance Club presented a magnificent end-of-season show in Moissac, the neighboring town.

The Fenouilletaine association Corps & Arts Dance District opened a second site in September 2019, in Castelsarrasin, at the studio located at 38 bis rue de la Révolution and it did well: the sub-prefecture town now has a dance school that vibrates with exceptional dynamism. With a top teaching team (Sara Ducat, Céline Holzer, Marie Goy, Anaë Dominguez, Angélina, Tiguy), surfing happily on all choreographic universes (classical, jazz, contemporary, dancehall, hip-hop, African dance) and welcoming young talents from the age of 4, the association provides classes and puts on shows with rigor but above all inventiveness.

Perfect timing

This Saturday, June 29, it was on the large stage of the magnificent hall of Paris in Moissac, the neighboring city, that the magnificent end-of-session show was given, bringing together all the students. As usual, we were able to witness a very professional set-up, with a perfect run-through and timing between the choreographic interventions, impeccably set in Sound and Light (the Moissagais directors Frédéric and Laurent were also congratulated by the president of CADD Rodolphe Zaï).

In front of a full room, students of all ages, all levels and all disciplines took to the stage one after the other, with the common thread being this “Odyssey in motion”, the title of the evening’s poster.

In terms of staging, we have kept it simple and stripped down, focusing solely on lighting effects to highlight the movements of the dancers, which are precisely timed by demanding choreographies. We go from classical to hip-hop, then to jazz, to contemporary, to dancehall, to end in a burst of colours with African dance.

The finale, with the entire CADD troupe, was epic, to the great joy of an audience that was already won over anyway. The association is organizing its “open house” at the Castelsarrasin studio on July 3 and 4 and is organizing, as part of the Town Hall Bicentennial Festival, an event (“Le Petit bal perdu”, where everyone can come and dance), on July 5, starting at 8 p.m., at Place de la Liberté.
