The village falls asleep… The players close their eyes. And here you are immersed in the board game Loups-Garous by Thiercelieux, whose publisher is Asmodee, located in (). The villagers must find the werewolves and kill them before the opposite happens, all without being unmasked!

During the night, the players, some of whom have powers: the witch, the granddaughter, cupid, etc., are called by the game leader to carry out certain actions specific to their role. A vote takes place, and the next day the victim is revealed. Then eliminated, she can no longer participate in the game but attends the revelations.

This game of’environ 30 minutes per game is enjoyed with family, friends, in camps, in leisure centers… between 8 to 18 players.

Sales boom

Créé and 2001 by Philippe des Pallières and Hervé Marly, Loups-Garous lived several extensions, adding characters and buildings: Nouvelle Lune, published in 2006; The Village in 2009; Characters in 2012; Le Pacte in 2014. There is also a Best Of edition which brings together the best of the range in a beautiful setting.

Currently this game is seeing its sales increase thanks to the Canal+ series, the first two episodes of which were broadcast unencrypted on October 11, 2024, and the film available on Netflix entitled Werewolves, posted online on October 23, 2024.

“Of the total Thiercelieux Loups-Garous range, according to the latest Circana figures (sales analysis), sales more than doubled over the period with an increase of + 105% in value and + 127% in volume, i.e. almost 30,000 more pieces sold over the period, compared to 2023, indicates Asmodee, the publisher. The first reference in the range is the Best of version whose sales more than doubled in value + 107% and in volume + 115%. We see significant notoriety with these events. With the end-of-year holidays approaching, we have more upstream sales than usual, particularly on digital platforms. »
