France Bleu offers you 3×2 places to attend an exceptional evening on Friday December 6 at 8 p.m.at the Debussy Theater in Cannes. This concert, directed by Arie Van Beekwill honor two giants of classical music: Joseph Haydn et Johannes Brahms.
A musical journey between the 18th and 19th centuries
The program will begin with the Symphony No. 36 by Haydn, an elegant and luminous work composed in the 1760s. Haydn, considered the “father of the symphony”, inspired many composers, including Johannes Brahms.
In homage to this 18th century master, Brahms composed his Variations on a Theme by Haydna brilliant work which marks a key stage in his symphonic development. To this piece is added the First Concerto for piano and orchestra by Brahms, a monumental work born from a symphonic dream, as he wrote to Clara Schumann.
On the piano, the talented François-Frédéric Guya specialist in German music, will thrill the audience with his mastery and intense interpretation.
With a duration of approximately 1h40, intermission includedthis concert promises a moment of pure musical magic in the setting of the Théâtre Debussy.
