From July 9 to August 24, the Île-de-France region is transformed into an open-air stage with the “Île-de-France celebrates theater” festival. Organized by the Tréteaux de France, this free festival invites residents of the Île-de-France region to discover a variety of performances in original settings.

  • July 9-14 at the leisure island of Créteil:

The “Île-de-France celebrates the theater” festival offers an eclectic program with 12 varied shows. Among others, a piece like “Mon petit coeur imbécile” combines narrative theater and hip-hop dance, while “We agree to disagree” integrates circus performances. The youngest will, for example, be able to benefit from reading workshops and finally, interactive workshops will allow everyone to learn about theater and dance.

  • July 20-25 at the Port aux Cerises leisure island (Draveil)

A rich program of 11 plays, ranging from an immersive theatrical radio experience with Radio Banane, to a dance performance with Version Originale and up to the 3D show, a choreographic circus performance on a strange object.

  • August 13-18 at the leisure island of Cergy-Pontoise

12 performances will take place from August 13 to 18. Including “Nathan longtemps” which will explore the imagination and curiosity of childhood with poetry. “Ourk” will address universal themes of identity and meaning with humor and drama while “Vy” will mix storytelling and puppetry, offering a moving introspective journey based on childhood memories.

  • August 24-29 at the Val de Seine leisure island (Verneuil-sur-Seine)

Among the 10 shows that you will find in Verneuil-sur-Seine, “Le Royaume de Kensuké” is a theatrical adaptation of the famous novel by Michael Morpurgo, offering an emotional and immersive adventure. For the youngest, Mille Secrets de Poussin invites young audiences to explore a poetic and mysterious universe. As for it, L’Atelier Radio offers an interactive experience where participants can learn about broadcasting techniques, exploring the behind the scenes of audio production.

Together, these events enrich the regional cultural scene, promoting access to art for all and strengthening the link between residents and contemporary theatrical practices.
