Eight months after the tragic death of actor Matthew Perry, the investigation is ongoing. According to new information from the American press, the Los Angeles federal police could make some arrests in the coming days.

Eight months later, police are still investigating. After the autopsy of Matthew Perry, who died on October 28, 2023, reported an accidental death caused by « acute effects » of taking ketamine associated with a « coronary disease » and a drowning, the Los Angeles Police Department teamed up with the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the United States Postal Service (USPIS) to get to the bottom of this story.

All we know is that Matthew Perry, sober for 19 months, was following a « ketamine infusion therapy » at the time of his death – a form of treatment that is quite common in the United States to treat drug or alcohol problems. But while the last official treatment of the actor who played Chandler Bing was a week and a half before his death, his autopsy revealed a final dose of ketamine in the four hours before his death.

An investigation that was reportedly continued at the request of Matthew Perry’s ex-partner, Kayti Edwards? Last March, she had suggested that she suspected the actor’s medical entourage of providing him with ketamine outside of supervised sessions and asked to continue the investigation… But we will have to wait many more months (or even a year, given the time frame of federal proceedings) to find out what happened to the eternal Chandler Bing.
