The Élysée denies having asked DJ Snake to delete a tweet supporting Palestine

The Presidency of the Republic denies having made this request to the musician but acknowledges having had contact with his manager.

In an exchange with music producer Naskid on the streaming platform Twitch on Tuesday, November 19, DJ Snake explained that the Élysée would have asked him to remove one of his tweets in support of Palestine. During the live performance, the Franco-Algerian artist did not stop repeating his commitment to the cause of the Palestinian people. « It's not a war, it's a genocidehe said. I'm just a DJ, it's not my job to go tweet President Macron and find myself in trouble with the Élysée who calls my management asking: “Can he delete the tweet? Can we meet” I don’t want to meet anyone. End this. I make music. »

This sequence was viewed nearly 500,000 times in half a day, and crossed out with the following message: « Macron asked DJ Snake to delete his posts on Palestine ».

In a tweet published on May 27, DJ Snake challenged Emmanuel Macron who called for a ceasefire. « How many civilians and children died in the genocide? », the musician asked in his publication.
