Singer Joyce Jonathan won, on June 27, 2024, the finale of the 5th season of this Asian program which recorded 13.5 million views on television and on the internet, reports “Le Parisien”.
A sort of local “Star Ac”, this reality show includes classes, rehearsals and live broadcasts. “I gained confidence in myself, I accumulated fabulous memories,” the singer told the daily newspaper shortly before her victory. And with the exposure of this show, my notoriety has changed a lot! Fans are waiting for me downstairs at the hotel, it’s crazy! At the airport, the police ask me for autographs, the flight attendants recognize me, it’s funny.”
With the exception of “Champs-Élysées” by Joe Dassin – “known to all Chinese” – Joyce Jonathan only sang in Mandarin during the entire adventure. “It’s a language that I’ve always heard,” says the 34-year-old musician. My mother created a pioneering tourism agency in exchanges between Chinese and French, at the very beginning of the 1990s. There were always Chinese friends at home. I made my first trip there when I was 8 and a half years old, an introductory trip with my two sisters.”
