Neil Young announces hiatus from Love Earth Tour.

The tour, the band’s first in a decade, was in full swing in the United States when the 78-year-old American-Canadian singer and his band Crazy Horse informed fans that they would be taking an “unplanned break” for health reasons.

“The Love Earth Tour has been a great experience for us so far,” Neil Young said on his website. “When two of us got sick after Pine Knob in Detroit, we had to stop. »

“We are not yet fully recovered, so unfortunately our big tour will take an unplanned break. We’ll try to play some of the dates we missed as time passes and we’re ready to rock again! We know that many of you are planning to travel (to come and listen to us) and we apologize for the inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding and your patience. Health is our priority,” he said, before adding: “We want to stay and do more concerts and more albums for you…. and for us. With love and thanks from Crazy Horse to all… Neil, Micah, Ralph and Billy Love Earth.”

Neil Young did not specify who had fallen ill.

Their new album, Early Daze, will be released on June 28. It is an archival album recorded in 1969 with Crazy Horse. It “showcases the band’s unique style in the late 1960s, capturing the essence of their live performances and their contribution to the evolution of rock and roll.”

Last March, Neil Young announced his reluctant return to Spotify, two years after removing his catalog from the streaming platform.
