On Tuesday June 4, 2024, the grand finale of the last season of Koh Lanta took place, called The Immunity Hunters. And the next edition of the show is already taking shape! We take stock.
It’s a cult program from TF1. Koh-Lanta landed on viewers’ screens in 2001, and quickly established itself as an emblematic show on the first channel. And although entertainment has been broadcast for decades, it continues to be very successful! He was also at the origin of the careers of several personalities, such as Moundir, who today became a television host and columnist.
Koh-Lanta returns with a new name, and two emblematic candidates!
And while the last season ended on Tuesday June 4, 2024 with Léa’s victory, the next edition of Koh-Lanta is already becoming clearer! Indeed, during the TF1 back-to-school conference, Rémi Faure, the channel’s director of streaming programs, made some revelations about the new season of Koh-Lanta : “Did you like Immunity Hunters? You’ll love Cursed Tribe” he assured, thus revealing the name of the next edition. A confidence which also announces that in this new season, there will not only be two tribes that will face each other, but three: The Yellows, the Reds, and the cursed tribe. But that’s not all!
The next edition should also be marked by the return of two emblematic candidates of the program, like Ugo and Frédéric, “two historical heroes of the show“. Revealed in the season which took place in Malaysia in 2012, Ugo Lartiche made his big comeback in Koh Lanta: The Legendbefore being eliminated at the gates of the final. For his part, Frédéric had won Koh-Lanta: The Sacred Fire against Tania, after a season rich in strategy.

In this next edition of the program, Ugo and Frédéric will now be the two leaders of the red and yellow tribes. And this return of Ugo in Koh-Lanta is a surprise! Indeed, in January 2023, the athlete had mentioned the many difficulties he encountered when he left the show. In the podcast L’Aléa, he had notably confided having spent a stay in the hospital: “I had lost 16 kilos and it was very complicated physically, I went to the hospital because I had a giardia cyst, an intestinal problem” he said. Let’s hope for him that his next participation ends on a more positive note!
