The room A chalet in Gstaad has already experienced a little: this is your second tour. This is also the only interview you give. For what ?

“It’s because we’re not often in the East!” We only visited once, so it’s time to get to know each other a little. And yes, second tour, because people were asking for it. The cities ask us, the public appreciates… And it must be said that we have a lot of fun. We’ve done the show over 300 times, so luckily we’re having fun! My partners make me laugh a lot. It’s a play that I would have liked to see for a good laugh. »

You have already done more than 300 performances: do you sometimes add variations?

“It varies a little but we stay faithful to the text. Comedy requires a lot of rigor. Otherwise, the risk is that it turns grotesque. »

The play is about the ultra-rich. Why this angle? Were you not afraid of the cliché?

“I wrote this piece before covid, five years ago. We played it for the first time in , three years ago. The idea came to me while leafing through celebrity magazines: all the rich have a chalet in Gstaad, that amused me a lot. I like to talk about people we don’t talk about, and if the bourgeoisie is treated a lot, that’s not the case for the ultra-rich: they are marginals of a different kind. I really wanted to make fun of them. Tax exiles in a chalet in Switzerland are hilarious. We play with ridicule. So no, I wasn’t afraid of the cliché, also because the characters are very specific, especially that of Armelle. »

You wrote a guru character, a sort of spiritual guide who accompanies one of the characters. For what ?

“I thought of Madonna, who had a guru. We later learned that he was a former insurance agent. It’s a comic twist in itself. And it goes very well with Armelle’s character. »

Why a play rather than a film?

“A film takes at least three years of your life. I like having the comfort of being an actress but I don’t want to direct at the moment. In the theater, you can improve with each performance. And we hear the laughter of the spectators. »

You’re on tour until the end of the year. What’s next?

“There are no official plans, but I mainly think about playing, after the tour. But the book Le Splendid by Le Splendid, we had so much fun comes out on November 21. This is an important project. Moving. For us anyway. These are memories of us all, taken from our personal archives. These are the contributions of all of us, including that of Michel (Editor’s note: Michel Blanc). The profits will be used to finance medical research. »

Finally, do you have a play to recommend?

“I recently went to see Video clubby Sébastien Thierry, with Noémie Lvovsky and Yvan Attal. They are on tour at the moment. There are two of them on stage, it’s the story of a couple. It’s funny, but it’s also right. That would be my recommendation! »

A chalet in Gstaad Friday December 13, 8 p.m. Arsenal Hall in Toul.
