1 The change of date
It was with a little disappointment that the last edition ended. Even if the count was less rigorous, the organizers noted a drop in (free) entries. The competition of six meetings in parallel in the department undoubtedly played a role. Hence the change of date. When Artisanalement Vôtre is usually held in October, it was decided, this year, to postpone the meeting until the end of November, in order to avoid this competition, but perhaps to fit even more into the preparations for Christmas. It is also impossible to organize the show during the All Saints’ Day school holiday period, as the Apprentice Training Center is a valuable partner, particularly in the creation of the decoration of the room, such as the screens separating the stands. .

2 Opening to schools
Schoolchildren, in fact, are the best ambassadors of the event. This is why the Cabinetmaking and Crafts Association always starts its show on Friday in order to bring in schoolchildren from the area. First of all, to, why not, awaken vocations by presenting little-known professions such as abajouriste or milliner. But also because children are their parents’ best prescribers. So much so that the association behind the event left it to the local parents’ federation to manage the refreshment bar, a way of becoming even more involved in the life of the community.
3 A poster campaign
And beyond this word of mouth, the organizers wanted this year to increase the number of communication networks, by being supported in this process by a specialized agency. In addition to the posters placed in all the places made available to the municipalities of Charente, an advertising campaign with 8×2 posters will be launched in Angoulême and Cognac and several radio broadcasts will promote it.
“Yes, we really think that communication was poor last year,” say Bénédicte Clergeau and Leslie Gaillard.

MACA dames is launched
Bénédicte Clergeau and Leslie Gaillard will take advantage of this showcase to present their four-handed creations, brought together under the MACA ladies brand, for the craft and artistic creation of these ladies. Both create lighting fixtures: the lampshades of the first will take up the decorations painted by the second on the staves used at the base of the lamps. “We wanted to combine our knowledge, to develop the creation of these unique pieces which also showcase another know-how of the region, cognac, with these barrel staves. »
