This Thursday, June 27, 2024, the courts are expected to re-examine the request of singer Jean-Luc Lahaye, who is seeking the cancellation of one of his indictments for rape of minors.

Is Jean-Luc Lahaye guilty? The singer proclaims his innocence. On November 5, 2021, he was indicted for rape of minors. This Thursday, the Paris Court of Appeal will have to rule on the request of Jean-Luc Lahaye, who wants the justice system to cancel one of his indictments, informs BFMTV.

His request should therefore be examined this Thursday from 9 a.m. by the investigating chamber, according to information from the television channel.

The accusations

This new twist comes in this sordid matter after terrible revelations. Two young fans, minors, under the influence of the singer, had indicated that they had had sexual relations, often brutal, with the artist. Victims describe a similar modus operandi, starting with messages on social networks, followed by naked photos, before a physical encounter.

The singer made his request to the investigating judges asking for one of his indictments to be canceled, affirming that doubts remain as to the complainant’s version, particularly in terms of the messages she allegedly sent. “You are not a pedophile. A rapist either. Especially not! We all know that you are not the guy to abuse a woman without her consent”she wrote.

But this did not convince the judges, who refused, so Jean-Luc Lahaye reformulated a request to the court of appeal. The influence of the victim will once again be at the heart of the debates. Note that since this affair, the singer has been banned from performing on stage.
