Group 1 reserved for aged steeplechasers over the distance of 5,500 meters, the Prix La Haye Jousselin took place this Sunday, November 17 at the Auteuil racecourse.
(Zone-turf.fr) – Four months after his coronation in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, Gran Diose achieved another prestigious success in the Prix La Haye Jousselin. After waiting behind the leaders, Gran Diose took the advantage at the jump of the rail ditch and fence (the justice of the peace) then controlled the situation to reach the post in the lead. Already runner-up to Gran Diose in the Grand Steeple-Chase de Paris, Grandeur Nature took second place. Juntos Ganamos completed the podium while Il Est Français was arrested after leading the race. Trainer of Gran Diose, Louisa Carberry won the Prix La Haye Jousselin for the second time, four years after the victory of Docteur de Ballon. Called to ride Gran Diose on Thursday to replace Clément Lefèbvre, Thomas Beaurain won his first Prix La Haye Jousselin, a race won seven times by his father Jean-Yves Beaurain with champion Al Capone II.
