Halite won with Dylan Ubeda this Tuesday June 25 in the Prix d’Achères, Quinté+ of the day at the Auteuil racecourse. This 6-year-old gelding, owned by Mathieu Pitart, who saddled the winner of last Saturday’s Quinté+ on the flat (Kapani), continues on his very good momentum and wins his third success in his last four outings. Favorite of the event, he first galloped at the front of the peloton in the wake of Forza rope side, before “ranging” behind Inzeo du Gouet at the start of the last bend. Gradually shifted along the rail in the straight, the son of Fascinating Rock took advantage of a slight mistakeInzeo du Gouet over the last hurdle to take the advantage and win in front Thunder of Time. “He was good, specifies Dylan Ubeda. I had my feet in the toe clips and followed the leaders. The two residents of Mickaël Seror were in front. I watched all the races, so I knew he was going to do well. They are good jumpers and I preferred to stay behind. At one point, Forza made a mistake, I then went behind Kévin (Nabet) and, in the end, he left. I had a good race, both square and trot.”

The winner had been claimed for “only” €14,120 by several co-owners including Nils Pacha, his trainer Mathieu Pitart, and Kévin Menez, who is none other than the brother of Jérémy Menez, a former French international football player. “It was a good claim from Mathieu (Pitart), Dylan Ubeda chase. We won straight away, for friends, so it’s super cool. He still has room to spare, everyone is happy.” It allows his jockey to win his tenth quinté, which brings in €56,676.30 in order (for 1 euro).

The numerical arrival of this Quinté+: 2 – 9 – 8 – 5 – 13.
