This time, the fans really believe it. The concert producer Live Nation has just made an unexpected announcement: the reformation of the legendary group The Fugees, led by Lauryn Hill for an exceptional concert in Paris on October 18, 2024, at the Accor Arena with the opening act, one of phenomena of the moment, the singer’s son, YG Marley.

This evening will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the album “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” and is already shaping up to be one of the back-to-school events.

After rumors of reformation for years, The Fugees only briefly reunited in 2023, invited for a concert by The Roots, another legendary hip-hop group. Seeing them again – we hope in great shape – almost three decades after their formation could be a historic moment!

Especially since Lauryn Hill’s last performance in France, in 2018, was particularly disappointing. Arriving on stage 2.5 hours late, she was initially booed by the audience and had to cut short her concert because of the schedules to be respected. This announcement, six years later, could therefore signal the hour of reconciliation with French spectators.

For several months, the artist has appeared alongside his son YG Marley, the fruit of his love with Ronan Marley. At 22, the grandson of reggae legend Bob Marley took up the family torch with an excellent single “Praise Jah and the Moonlight” which triumphed around the world.

Lauryn Hill regularly joins him on stage to perform this hit with him. Guest of “The Toonight Show with Jimmy Fallon”, one of the most popular talk shows in the United States, a month ago, she delivered an impeccable performance which hinted at the best for the tour to come, mixing soul, rap and of course reggae.

Tickets for this major Parisian concert will go on sale this Friday, June 28 from 10 a.m.
