The young Georgian, Andria Putkaradze, won the Junior Eurovision contest on Saturday November 16. After two consecutive victories for France in 2022 and 2023, the Frenchman, Titouan, ranked 4th.
A new title for Georgia. While the 22nd edition of Junior Eurovision was held on Saturday November 16 in Madrid, the young Georgian, Andria Putkaradze, won the competition with his song “To My Mom”. He gave his country its fourth victory since the creation in 2003 of the kids’ version of Eurovision, which brings together singers aged 9 to 14 each year.
France in the top 5
France, represented by Titouan, 14 years old, was not unworthy. After two consecutive victories in 2022 and 2023 thanks to Lissandro and Zoé Clauzure, the young Breton, who appeared on the show The Voice Kids, won fourth place with his song “Comme ci, comme ça”.
He was beaten by the Ukrainian candidate, who came third, and the young Portuguese singer, who took second place on the podium.
As a reminder, since the launch of the competition, France has won the competition three times, winning its first title in 2020 thanks to Valentina and her song “J’imagine”.
17 countries were represented this year during the competition, which was organized in Spain, despite the victory of Frenchwoman Zoé Clauzure in 2023 in Nice. France has indeed given up hosting the event this year, after having organized this meeting in 2021 and 2023.
