Several evenings around the master of Japanese animated cinema Hayao Miyazaki in the cinemas of Nîmes on the occasion of the release of a documentary.
The documentary Hayao Miyazaki and the Heron allows you to closely follow the creation of the latest masterpiece from the master of Japanese animated cinema. Hayao Miyazaki, now 83, opens the doors of Studio Ghibli and reveals behind the scenes the nine years of hard work that gave birth to his film The Boy and the Heron. The documentary shows how the director, pushed by his producer and accomplice Toshio Suzuki, pushes the boundaries of his art day after day.
To mark the release of the documentary, several Nîmes theaters are offering special screenings allowing both the discovery of The Boy and the Heron and the story of the creation of the film.
