Moroccan artist Mounia Lemkamel expressed her great dissatisfaction after discovering the existence of a page on the “Facebook” platform which pretends to be her and uses her videos to promote products unrelated to her.
Lamkaimel explained in a post on her personal Instagram account that she asked her followers to report the fake page, which led its owner to delete it. She stressed that she would not ignore this incident, threatening to take legal action against the person responsible for the page.
She said: “I deleted the page, but I know you will come to see my stories, I am indifferent to you and this time justice will call me. So you can leverage my videos and start selling and buying brochures to follow on Tiktok.
She added to Mikamel that exploiting her image and content to promote products without her consent harms her reputation and puts her in an embarrassing position in front of her fans, and she wrote: “For people to come and say: ‘I I’m going to advertise. , so your page is for this or that product… It’s all for you, since you embarrassed me.’”
