The Royal Chapel will host an exceptional concert this Saturday, November 16, at 8 p.m. Supported by the Rotary Club, this evening will bring together two young classical music prodigies.
On Saturday, November 16 at 8 p.m., the Royal Chapel of Rodez is preparing to host a unique musical evening orchestrated by the Rotary Club. On the bill, two young musicians of international stature: Gianfranco Garofalo, Venezuelan violinist, and Cyril Van Ginneken, Franco-Swiss pianist and composer. Together, they will perform an exceptional classical program, made up of short pieces and two major sonatas: César Franck’s Sonata and Beethoven’s Sonata No. 3.
Gianfranco Garofalo, aged 21, is already an accomplished violinist. Originally from Venezuela, he played as a soloist with the Philharmonic Orchestra of his native country. Currently a student at the Haute École de musique de Genève, he is pursuing a brilliant career marked by the creation of “Luce Tango”, a tango group performing regularly. In Aveyron, he is not unknown: he has already distinguished himself there several times, notably this summer.
A concert under the sign of solidarity
At his side, Cyril Van Ginneken, a rising star on the Franco-Swiss scene, will enhance the repertoire on the piano. Winner of several international competitions, including the prestigious Fnapec competition, he is also supported by the Hans Wilsdorf-Rolex foundation. A pianist and composer, he distinguished himself for his artistic research on Beethoven, winning first prize at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Lyon this year.
Beyond the music, this evening is also a solidarity action. The profits from the concert will be distributed between several causes dear to the Rotary of Rodez.
