To officially start the summer in style, Netflix has just revealed the new releases that will be added to its catalog throughout the month of July. Films, series, documentaries: here is what the streaming giant has concocted for us in the coming weeks, something to entertain us as it should be during this summer season. Ask for the program!
As at the end of each month, Netflix shares with us the complete list of new releases joining its catalog. This time, the platform that makes TUDUM has taken a little head start, however, unveiling its new July entries this Friday, June 21, i.e. the second day of summer 2024 – this year, summer officially started on Thursday June 20.
03/07: Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F.
Nearly 30 years after his last adventure, Eddie Murphy makes his comeback in the character of Axel Foley, the craziest agent in all of Beverly Hills. For this fourth part, entitled Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F., the shock cop is back on the streets of California, and he’s not alone. With his daughter (Taylour Paige) under threat, Lieutenant Foley will have no choice but to team up with her. He will also reunite with his old comrades Billy Rosewood (Judge Reinhold) and John Taggart (John Ashton), as well as a new partner (Joseph Gordon-Levitt). In short, a shock casting awaits us, for a hilarious action comedy that may well be a hit on the platform!
04/07: New school, season 3
After two successful seasons, the rap telecrochet made by Netflix will make its big return on July 4! For this third season of New school, the Marseillais SCH, already present during seasons 1 and 2, will team up with two artists to compose this new juror: the talented Aya Nakamura who needs no introduction, and the rapper SDM, artist at 92i, Booba’s legendary label. Together, the trio has only one objective: to unearth the future nugget of French-speaking rap, with a jackpot of 100,000 euros at stake for the future winner.
10/07: Receiver
After the excellent Quarterback, it’s a new documentary on the NFL which awaits us on July 10 on Netflix. Just like the first documentary which highlighted the league’s star quarterbacks, Receiver will follow American football stars playing at the position of wide receiver (WB). Through 8 episodes, 5 players and their performances in the 2023 season will be highlighted: Davante Adams (WR, Raiders), Justin Jefferson (WR, Vikings), George Kittle (Tight End, 49ers), Deebo Samuel ( WR, 49ers) and Amon-Ra St. Brown (WR, Lions).
11/07: Vikings: Valhalla, season 3
The Vikings will be back on our screens on July 11 on Netflix! As a reminder, Vikings: Valhalla is a spin-off series of Vikings. Also serving as a sequel, the series offers us a real leap in time, taking place a century after the exploits of the legendary Ragnar Lodbrok. In this third season, which should normally be the final part of the show, we find Leif, Freydis and Harald. If peace seems to have returned, will it be lasting? Nothing is less sure…
07/19: Sweet Home, season 3
South Korean series broadcast for the first time at the end of 2020, Sweet Home features Cha Hyeon-soo (Song Kang), a lonely and suicidal teenager since the death of his family in a terrible accident. Shortly after moving into a seemingly quiet residence, the teenager notices that many neighbors are turning into monsters. 07/26: Elite, season 8
