The “Total Festum” festival

Festival. Come and discover at Montcalm Park an overview of the original culture of Montpellier: festive music and conviviality, regional dishes to taste, traditional games, tambourine games, wooden games, actors of cultural and scientific life, Occitan literature…

The day will end with the traditional ritual of Sant Joan d’estiu.

Show. Robyn Orlin, South African, white, unclassifiable artist clashing registers, knows how to seize the conflicts of a community that the end of apartheid has not completely brought together, to develop them in works hostile to all discrimination including aesthetic.

Exploited from the 1870s to the 1980s, the Okiep copper mines were considered the richest in the world. Afrikaans is mainly spoken there, and the natives prefer to be called Colored, a term designating in South Africa populations of mixed ethnicities, who, in the region, are descendants of Nama and Indian cultures.
