Until December 21, from 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Korian Villa Lauragais retirement home in Baziège opens its doors to a unique artistic exhibition: Expoésie. Organized by Stéphanie Girard, facilitator of the retirement home, this exhibition highlights the poetic and visual works of Marijo, who shares eight years of artistic creation with the public.
The Exhibition reveals a journey where poetry takes shape. You will be able to discover Marijo’s “tableaux-poems”, compositions which combine words and images and feature the poems from her collection published in 2021, I am a fish who learned to walk.
The exhibition also includes close-up photographs of nature, revealing surprising details of tiny plants, some directly inspiring poems. In addition, his second collection, Nature au coeur…, published in July 2024, combines photos and haikus for a delicate exploration of nature.
Meeting time
To enrich this artistic experience, Marijo also presents original creations with pencils and markers, including the exhibition poster. These colorful and spontaneous works are born from letting go, where chance and creativity meet.
After the success of the Expoésie in Donneville, Marijo and Stéphanie Girard are happy to present this new edition at the retirement home, in an intergenerational project which invites the general public to come and share this poetic space with the residents. This moment of meeting is a great opportunity to bring life and new conversations to residents, who are already looking forward to this setting to read and describe without moderation.
