“Hey Louis, you came here because you wanted to make a splash (…) Stop telling it to yourself, elected or not elected, I don’t give a damn. You think I'm afraid of you! (…) I received more people from Nupes here, than Zemmour, hope stupid! If you are an MP, it's thanks to us. (…) You are an idiot. »

Exactly two years ago, on November 10, 2022, Cyril Hanouna violently attacked the young LFI deputy Louis Boyard live on the set of “Touche pas à mon poste”. “Tocard”, “buffoon”, the host of C8 had a string of bird names when his guest, and ex-columnist, had mentioned the deforestation caused by the African activities of Vincent Bolloré, the owner of Canal + and C8 .

The two men had a meeting this Tuesday, November 12, at the Criminal Court, since Louis Boyard had filed a complaint against the host for “public insults”. An offense that the Penal Code punishes with a fine of 12,000 euros.

Both the host and the MP were absent this Tuesday afternoon and for good reason. Detained from another hearing at the same time, Jade Dousselin, Louis Boyard's lawyer, requested a postponement of the trial. The court quickly accepted this referral request. A new date has been set: Tuesday December 17 at the same location.

In this case, C8 has already been heavily sanctioned by Arcom. In February 2023, the audiovisual police sentenced C8 to a fine of 3.5 million euros for “infringement of the guest's rights and “lack of control of its antenna”. A sanction confirmed this summer by the Council of State. Cyril Hanouna also filed a complaint against the MP La Insoumise for defamation.
