A day with… Balavoine, Friday December 6 at 9:05 p.m. on 3

Under the artistic direction of Nach, alias Anna Chedid, these artists came together to celebrate Balavoine for a day, in magnificent locations, the city where he grew up and maintained ties throughout his life. They all have one thing in common: without Daniel Balavoine, they would not have become the artists they are today. They cover his cult songs, which they love and which tell the story of a man’s commitment, his sensitivity and his mastery of voice. A voice which allowed him to express himself on all the fights which seemed essential to him and for which he mobilized before disappearing prematurely.

With After ( Anna Chedid), Matthew Chedid, Louane, Arthur H, Olivia Ruiz, Élodie Frégé, Louis Chedid, Gaëtan Roussel, Solenn, Claire Keim, Patch Alex Montembault, Head, Youssoupha, Thibault Cauvin, Fatoumata Diawara, Jeanne Cherhal , Aurélie Saada , He left Schneider , Pierre Lapointe , Martin Luminet , Cyril Dion , Emma Peters et Joseph Kamel

A day with Balavoine it is a dive into the life of an unforgettable artist. The show invites us to discover many little-known aspects of his life. Did you know? The song My son my battlereproduced here by Pierre and Charles Souchon with the exceptional participation of Sandrine Kiberlainwas not written for his son, since at the time Daniel Balavoine was not yet a father. He had written it for a friend whose personal story particularly touched him. He will become a father a little later and it is God it’s beautiful who will recount the birth of his first child.

Over the course of the show, we also better understand the modernity of Balavoine, particularly with the offbeat and totally revisited cover of Live or surviveby the rapper Youssoupha and the classical guitarist Thibault Cauvin.
“When you look at the archives, you feel an angry man, and that’s a bit of the driving force behind rap. Balavoine, he represents that, a certain artistic success but which he wanted to put at the service of a certain word which reflected his disquietude in relation to things which are not going well. » Youssoupha

We also discover that it was while listening to the Beatles, one day while he was breaking up in his pension, that he wanted to be a singer.
Matthew Chedid also describes the avant-garde character of the artists of this generation: “ It was the new wave of French song at the time. They were the first after Brel or Brassens to bring Anglo-Saxon culture to . They are the children of the Beatles. »
