Music festival in Argentan, “We’re returning to the format of the 90s”: the program

“Back to the 1990s.” The summer festivities in Argentan (Orne) begin Friday June 21, 2024, symbolic day of the music festival. This first party announce the color of the coming summer.

1990s format, rotating stage

“We find the size and scope of the 1990s and 2000s for the music festival,” reveals Frédéric Leveillé, mayor. This edition of the music festival, which falls ideally on a Fridayattracts many groups to be distributed throughout the city. They will be 19 in total playing in the streets of Argentan.

This explains our return to Boulevard Carnot where stages will be installed.

The 19 groups to follow on June 21

5 p.m., Zodiak System at the Halle du Clos Menou; DJ Jill and Latin dances at 28 rue du Beigle at Bulles Bazar.
6 p.m., That’s all folk at 14 rue de la Chaussée, Mine de rien store; The conservatory with its African percussion strolls through the streets starting from Place de-Lattre-de-Tassigny (batucada).
7 p.m., Joss, place du général Leclerc, O’Brazero restaurant; Old Back on the market square, in front of the Café de Paris; Friday Sound on the terrace of Le Garden bar; MC24 on the revolving stage at Place Saint-Germain; Izy Low at the Noë lake; A concert at Le Bentley bar (still unknown group).
8 p.m., Choral Choir of the Donjon on the square in front of the Town Hall; Fred’O Carré at the Sulky bar at 11 rue Étienne-Panthou; The Clapstones on the Place de-Lattre-de-Tassigny.
8:30 p.m., Fit’coach on Place Saint-Germain; Free’son variety orchestra at the O’Brazero restaurant; Group 314 on Boulevard Carnot; The rocking five on Place Henri-IV.
9 p.m., MYND at the Deméyère bookstore on Place Henri-IV
9:45 p.m. The Red Button on Place Saint-Germain.

The other novelty will be the presence of a rotating stage on the Place Saint-Germain. Three groups will follow one another on stage. From 7 p.m., MC24 gets the ball rolling before giving way to Fit-coach and The Red Button.

Techno and batucada strolling

From 5 p.m. at Clos Menou, the techno lovers meet the team of Zodiak System for the third year in a row. A perfect opportunity to discover a group of young people who have come to please those in the know while presenting their music to a new audience.

Meanwhile, at 6 p.m., the percussion of the batucada will start a wandering in the streets of Argentan starting from Place de-Lattre-de-Tassigny.

All styles

Several groups perform in concert at the bars. 5 p.m., DG Jill offers latin dance at Bulles Bazar, 6 p.m., That’s all folk performs at the Mine de rien store.

In addition to the streets of the city, we must not forget the concert of the Noë lake with Izy Low. Once again there will be something for all styles this Friday. A good opportunity to wander from scene to scene in this giant festival.
