The 5 Bis Theater on rue Jaganneau in La Réole has resumed its activities. Élise Dubroca, owner of the premises, actress, author, director, gives an update on her theater project at La Réole.
“Since the inauguration in June 2023, 5 Bis has evolved significantly. The work was substantial, but I have no regrets. For this new season, we have made foam bench cushions covered in red velvet, which makes the seat much more comfortable for the public and improves the aesthetics. We have a new logo and created a graphic charter with a website under construction. New partnerships have been signed in particular with the Comœdia theater in Marmande. The School of Spectators was born, it is a group of people who come together to see plays in the local theaters with a defined program and meetings and exchanges around the shows. In short, 5 Bis is growing and developing with an audience that is ever more present and attentive to the programming. »
Le 5 Bis offers two events for the months of November and December. Thursday 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16 November at 8 p.m., the Compagnie Un jour j’irai will present: “The Dream Life of Philosophers”. Yves Cusset, specialist in philosophical humor, takes the public into a crazy gallery of portraits, from Epicurus to Arendt, where the greatest philosophers become burlesque characters and solar clowns.
On Friday, December 6 at 8 p.m. and Saturday, December 7 at 5 p.m., there is a family show for ages 4 and up with the Roger Company and its “Blanc flocon” show. With several reading levels, it will interest all audiences. What if Snow White was a boy? A quirky tale, very freely adapted from the tale “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs”.
