Accused of sexual harassment by a former technician from his tour, singer Slimane is due to perform on Saturday at the Zénith in , to a sold-out crowd.

Slimane is back in concert in Toulouse, after playing to a sold-out audience last April at the Zénith. The singer, who won the fifth season of The Voice in 2016 and who represented in 2024 at Eurovision (finishing in 4th place), is riding the wave of success. He was in competition on Sunday to represent France at the MTV Awards, against Pierre Garnier, Aya Nakamura, Dadju, Tayc, Gims and Vitaa.

His new concert, expected this Saturday, November 16 at 8 p.m. at the Zénith, is also sold out as part of his solo tour, which follows the release of his album, “Chroniques d’un Cupidon”. More than 150,000 tickets have already been sold for this “Cupid Tour”, a show which takes him to all the Zéniths in France, Belgium and Switzerland, with a stop at the Accor Arena in March.

But this tour is marred by a complaint filed on October 28 against him for aggravated sexual harassment by a former technician on his tour. The Saint-Étienne public prosecutor’s office opened an investigation on November 7. The facts were allegedly committed after a concert at the Zénith in Saint-Étienne, during a party organized by Slimane and his team, on the night of December 17 to 18. The technician says he was “blocked against a wall” by Slimane who “imposed a hug” on him, saying he wanted to have sex with him. Despite the technician’s refusal, Slimane insisted and allegedly sent him photos and videos of a sexual nature by Whatsapp for several hours.

Despite this accusation, Slimane participated last Friday at the NRJ Music Awards in , where he won the prize for best French-speaking male artist. At the end of his live performance, where he performed the song “Mon amour”, he appeared in tears. He alluded to the complaint filed against him by declaring about his trophy: “This one has a special taste.” Before adding to his daughter: “My daughter when you grow up, I really hope that you will be proud of your dad, I love you”.

Saturday’s concert at the Zénith in Toulouse will undoubtedly also have a “special taste”.
