Several events before or on D-Day will take place to celebrate the arrival of summer with music. A quick overview.
Celebrated for the very first time on June 21, 1982 at the instigation of Jack Lang, then Minister of Culture, the Music Festival continues to be celebrated more than 40 years later. Created to allow artists to express themselves freely and the public to attend free concerts, this date represents a major popular festival throughout France, from the smallest towns to large metropolises. A jovial and musical interlude which brings together a large audience each year. In the city, several activities are offered, starting with the intercommunal music conservatory, which organizes Wednesday June 19 at 5 p.m.a performance by students and singers on the square in front of the media library in downtown.
Note also that the‘boarding school animation team apprentice training center of Industry (CFAI Henri-Martin) propose two evenings, Wednesday June 19 and Thursday June 20 from 20 hours : “The boarding school welcomes 650 interns per month from the two Lézignan CFAs (industry professions and construction and public works professions), explains his manager. In order to celebrate with dignity the Music Festival, two eveningss of rejoicing are organized. The first with a rap set from the Double One collective, from an association of street educators, who through music mobilizes young people met in the department. The second with the reggae songwriter Damien, former singer of the group Unisson and his new titles“. A refreshment bar will be provided on site (22 avenue des Genêts).

Finally, Friday June 21 at 6:30 p.m., time for classical music with the Espace Gibert cultural association. Les souffles d’or will perform between trumpets (Dominique Bougard and Nicolas Planchon) and organ (Christopher Hainsworth) on the occasion of Gibert’s last classical concert before the summer (€5).
