Comics Festival 2024: head in bubbles!

Signings, meetings and wonder punctuated this weekend in the heart of the bubble! Children and parents met their favorite authors, participated in numerous workshops and learned the secrets of superheroes! A special mention for the winner of the best youth comic: Marianne Alexandre, distinguished by the Mayor, Joëlle Ceccaldi-Raynaud. The CCJ, jury for this 18th edition, unanimously chose his comic strip: Lothaire Flammes. See you for the next edition with so many surprises!

Garden and Craft Festival 2024

More than 35,000 nature enthusiasts gathered on the Île de Puteaux this weekend for the Garden and Craft Festival. Many varied events and activities were on the program: mini-plant potting workshop, educational and fun exhibitions on sustainable development and energy renovation, “Moon Bao” ride from the company Mademoiselle Hyacinthe & Cie. Several workshops were also offered upon registration during these two days. Visitors were able to learn the basics of floral arranging, learn about weaving plant fibers and even make a reusable beeswax lid. As for the creators’ market, it represented a fantastic opportunity to find an original and lasting gift for Mother’s Day which will be celebrated on Sunday May 26.

The CCJ in immersion in Phalsbourg

As part of its sponsorship with the 1st Combat Helicopter Regiment of Phalsbourg, the City invited its young elected officials from the CCJ to immerse themselves for a day in the life of our armed forces. It is at attention, in a row two by two, that the 26 children of the CCJ CM2 of Puteaux responded in the affirmative to the invitation of the soldiers of the 1st Combat Helicopter Regiment of Phalsbourg. Wake up to the sound of the bugle for a very early boarding on the TGV heading to Strasbourg! Arriving at the military base, the young elected officials were able to attend the raising of colors and the presentation of decorations (military and National Defense medals) for feats of arms in combat. Review of the troops and flypast to the sound of the Marseillaise. After tasting the military combat ration at lunchtime (Cassoulet and ginger cake for dessert), our young elected officials entered the heart of the barracks and completed a flight simulator session in hostile lands on the “Caiman » and on a helicopter carrier! A day that will certainly remain engraved in the memories of our young elected officials! Take care, children!

The JB Lully Conservatory celebrates its 10th anniversary!

The City celebrated the anniversary of the Conservatory as it should! On the program are two days of festivities with concerts, shows and introductory workshops for all. Between Friday May 3 and Saturday May 4, the Conservatory was in the spotlight as the City celebrated its tenth anniversary. For the occasion, concerts, shows, dance initiation workshops, open stage and strolls were on offer. Something to delight young and old alike who were able to enjoy a large number of activities. As a bonus, an exclusive concert from the Dyslexic Swing Group closed these two days!

My Little Expo is back!

The only exhibition where children take their parents is back, from April 10 to May 15, at the Town Hall for a 4th colorful edition. After sculpture, painting and cinema, Ma Petite Expo will immerse visitors in a colorful adventure with a departure into the heart of primary colors, signature of the artist Piet Mondrian who died 80 years ago, to the thousand and one shades that we know today. From Van Gogh’s Sunflowers to Klein blue and the vaporous tutu of Renoir’s Dancer, the exhibition, designed as much for children as for their parents, promises to show you all the colors while making you discover or rediscover dozens of works of art. Throughout the visit, the scenography is carried out at the height of a child whose perception is clearly different from that of adults.

Little reading champions

The departmental semi-final of the Little Reading Champions was held on February 7 in Puteaux, at the Palais de la Culture! 16 middle school children from 9 schools in the City participated, between joy and apprehension, after a selection by their teachers. They read freely chosen extracts which should not exceed 3 minutes. The tone, the articulation, the relationship of the candidate with the public who came in large numbers to support our little champions, were all criteria demanded by the members of the jury, made up of professors, publishing professionals, a representative of the ministry of Culture, or even members of the Putéo branch of the “Lire et faire lire” association – very active with school children – and a representative of the Cultura de La Défense brand who presented cultural products to all participants! Congratulations to Alma from La Rotonde school and Julie from Pyramide school who will represent the colors of Puteaux at the national final on March 27 at the Théâtre de Puteaux! Undoubtedly attracted by the “Vis-à-Vis” car, this grand dame produced in Puteaux in 1902 by De Dion-Bouton, more than 4,000 curious people attended the stand of the Municipal Archives of the City at the Salon Rétromobile which took place held at Porte de Versailles from February 1 to 4
