“I only want one thing: for him to pay for what he did. » A few days before the opening of the trial, on November 20, in which Pierre Palmade will be judged for “intentional injury” for having caused a serious road accident in February 2023, while he was under the influence of narcotics , injuring three people, one of the victims spoke on the program Sept à Huit, broadcast on Sunday on TF1, to recount his ordeal since the collision.
On the evening of February 10, 2023, Yuksel accompanied his sister-in-law Mila, 27, six and a half months pregnant, home. The motorist assures that he was “particularly careful” on the road, given the presence of his six-year-old son and the pregnancy of his sister-in-law. On a long straight line of a departmental road in Seine-et-Marne, his vehicle was violently hit head-on by that of the actor, who was traveling in the opposite direction and completely shifted into the left lane.
The three members of the family were seriously injured, the frontal impact also caused the in utero loss of Mila's fetus. More than a year and a half later, the trauma and the after-effects, physical and psychological, are still there. “He turned our life into hell,” the motorist said in Sept à Huit.
An uncertain future
Operated on “the stomach, shoulders, legs, feet”, Yuksel says he has “no more feeling in three fingers”, that he has “pain so intense” that he is “exhausted », with the feeling sometimes that his brain “is going to explode”. On a daily basis, the plaques he has in his legs cause him “a lot of pain”. “Even to wash and walk, I have to ask my loved ones for help,” he whispers.
His son Devrim “is not doing well at all,” according to his father. “He no longer wants to go outside because of the scars on his head, he is in constant pain,” he describes, adding that his child “can’t stand the sun or the cold.” Her school year was marked by numerous “panic attacks” and loss of ability to concentrate. He had to repeat his CE1 class, explains Yuksel.

“I don’t know what our future will be for my son and me. Will I ever be able to work again? Am I going to stay in this state? I don’t know,” asks this father, still very marked by the accident. Pierre Palmade “took my future away from me. My life is no longer the same, and it will never be again,” her sister-in-law also testified last February on RMC.
A sentence of 14 years
The victims are now awaiting trial. The qualification of involuntary homicide, which the prosecution had requested for the loss of the fetus, was ultimately not accepted. Because according to consistent case law from the Court of Cassation, which has ruled on similar cases of road accidents, a child who has not been born does not exist as a person. A fetus therefore has no legal existence and its death cannot therefore constitute involuntary homicide for the motorist involved.
The victims had “deplored” the choice to send the comedian to trial solely for involuntary injuries. Pierre Palmade faces a sentence of 14 years in prison and a fine of 200,000 euros.
