It is produced by Mizar Studios and distributed by Mégarama. It must be said that “Za3zou3” is an adventure comedy which immerses the viewer in the hilarious adventures of Jawhar, a young man living in Tamgroute, who despite himself finds himself at the heart of an unexpected adventure. When he meets tourists by chance and does not suspect for a moment that they are in reality thieves looking for a precious manuscript containing a mischievous djinn named Za3zou3, holder of 100 wishes. “Inadvertently releasing this mischievous genius, the two friends find themselves embroiled in a series of improbable adventures, where each wish leads to new complications. Between the treasure hunters and the police, Jawhar and Faraji will have to use all their ingenuity to survive this hilarious and unpredictable adventure,” reads the synopsis.

Burlesque situations and tasty dialogues
The making of this film highlights the picturesque landscapes of Zagora and its surroundings, thus providing an authentic visual framework for the story. “The daily lives of the region’s inhabitants constitute the core of the story, bringing a cultural and aesthetic dimension to the whole. The comic tone of the film is reinforced by burlesque situations and tasty dialogues,” indicates the director. And added: “The characters of Jawhar and Faraji are the main engines of humor, with their clumsiness and their naivety which leads them into incredible situations. Emphasis is placed on gestures, facial expressions and puns to reinforce the comic aspect of the scenes. The direction of the action and chase scenes is dynamic and fast-paced, with rapid shots and fluid camera movements to convey a sense of danger and urgency. The confrontations with other criminals to protect the manuscript are filmed with a dose of humor, highlighting the clumsiness and creative strategies of our heroes. For the director, the filmmaking approach for this film focuses on creating an immersive and captivating cinematic experience. “We made specific technical decisions regarding cinematography, lighting, art direction, visual effects, editing, music and sound to create a cohesive and authentic visual and auditory ambiance. Our goal is to captivate audiences and provide them with a memorable cinematic experience that transports them into the world of the film.”
