The delivery platform reveals the favorite dishes of its French customers in a press release. In first place, it is a typical dish from France which is among the most ordered.
The choice is often overwhelming. When you order food online on a delivery platform, it can be difficult to choose what will be delivered to you as some applications list too many restaurants. The recent top 20 most ordered dishes on Deliveroo will surely help you decide.
This Wednesday, the delivery platform unveils global trends with a focus on France. The most consumed dish in our country has risen to third place in the world ranking.

The terroir in the spotlight
If there is one trend that emerges from this ranking for the year 2024, it is the advent of so-called “local” products. Starting with the pureed sausage, the Maison Kayser croissant, but also chocolate fondants.
“This type of dish, deeply rooted in French culinary tradition, seduces palates and highlights the importance of authentic and local recipes in consumer choice, thus confirming nostalgia for traditional dishes,” analyzes Deliveroo.
Another trend observed is the arrival of foodstuffs that go beyond the catering framework: bananas sold at Carrefour and burrata sold at Monoprix. For the platform, it reflects a need for users to make their daily lives easier, and to receive groceries directly at home.
