Connaissance des Jeunes Interprètes offers a concert on Saturday, November 9 at 6 p.m. in the Salle des Consuls. The artists of the evening are the musicians of the Magenta Quartet, an ensemble founded in 2021 and which is already heading towards success. Winner after one year of the Haydn competition in Vienna and the international competition in Stuttgard, then the FNAPEC competition in 2023, the quartet was admitted as a resident at Pro Quartet, the European Center for Chamber Music. Spotted by the profession, the Magenta Quartet received advice from the Ébène, Hagen and Modigliani Quartets, who included it in the Elite program of the École Normale de Musique de Paris. Cellist Gautier Capuçon invited musicians during his summer tours in France, as did the festivals of Laroque d’Anthéron, Vibre à Bordeaux and La Chaise Dieu. The artists chose to perform three remarkable works: the very powerful and symphonic “Emperor” Quartet by Haydn, the “Nocturnal Metamorphoses” by Ligeti and the 1st quartet by Schumann which alternates between lyricism and serenity, meditation and enchantment. Entrance: €20; €5 for students, high school students, college students and the unemployed. Reservations tel. 05 53 01 25 79.
