Lacinia shines with Eric Raffin for his debut at Vincennes

Lacinia did not have to strain her talent and logically won with Éric Raffin in the Prix de Barenton, the second event this Monday, November 4 at . At 3 years old, this Charles filly, favorite of the event, made a perfect debut on the Parisian track, beating her opponents of the day by several lengths. By trotting 1’16”7, she won her second success in a row under the saddle and confirmed her good disposition in the mounted trotting discipline. “She is a mare who has a lot of quality, explains the winning jockey. I fought with it during the first 1,500 and in the last kilometer, I wanted it to relax and I was able to take the advantage in two strides. If the head follows, she will become a very good mare. There weren’t many of us today, so that made it easier.” His trainer Charles Dreux confirms the jockey’s statements and explains that he had the same sensations from the stands. “She does it welldespite a few cold sweats when leaving, and even throughout the entire journey. We can thank Éric Raffin. It has engine, but still has difficulty downshifting to slow down. She has to understand, and if that happens, she will be a good mare. We’re getting the meeting off to a great start.”
