For the second consecutive year, the festival Isulia invests the Bordeaux submarine base to transform the military building into nightclub.

From Friday November 8 to Sunday November 10, 2024, three electro evenings are organized there with: Lüma-G, Desire & E-Talking, MCR-T, Vanille and Lisa More, the first evening; Venus in Retrograde, Leyka, Ahadadream, Neida, Tatyana Jane & Greg, the second evening; and for the closing evening, Amayo, Mary B & Subsism, Vost, URTrax, Marcel Dettmann, Ô Fantasme.

“An experience that is out of the ordinary”

“The submarine base offers a very special atmosphereappreciates Clément Lejeune, the co-founder of the festival. It’s a place that is not easy to invest in but it allows us to give loud tone at the festival. People like to have an experience that is out of the ordinary. »

The organizers are waiting up to 1,500 people per evening in the submarine base. “We will be able to show different subgenres of electronic music. The electro corresponds to the technical constraints of the base, whose walls are several meters thick. Which creates a large echo indoors and distorts high-pitched vocals, so it’s not conducive to other styles of music. »

A festival dedicated to young people

The Isulia festival also offers conferences and concerts to Experiencing from Thursday November 7, with an opening evening hosted by La Sueur. After reggaeton, the other evenings will give way respectively to rock and post-punk on Friday evening, then to rap and RNB on Saturday evening.

For the conferences, they will be on taking action, social issues and developments in the cultural industry sector.

“The starting point of Isulia is to provide time for the younger generations. 45% of the population is under 30 years old in Bordeaux, recalls Clément Lejeune. This festival is interested in the question of their integration and their inclusion in their territory, by allowing them to create links, to awaken, to open up. »
