Paul Rudd came to support young American voters by handing out bottles of water as they waited to vote.
A superstar at the voting booth. On Tuesday, November 5, the day of the US presidential election, American actor Paul Rudd made a surprise visit to voters in Pennsylvania as they waited in endless queues to vote.
The star of Ant-Man, 40 years: instructions for use or even Clueless showed up with bottles of water in front of Temple University in Philadelphia to distribute them to voters. An MSNBC reporter, who was covering the election and spotted the actor, approached him to ask questions.
“I just want to give them water,” he said. “They’ve been waiting a long time, it’s great that all these young people came out to vote.”
Crucial state
“We wanted to come in and tell these students that they’re doing something great,” he continued. Asked how he felt about the election result, Paul Rudd quipped: “I’m happy to hand out bottled water.”
According to Variety, Paul Rudd took part in the same exercise at Villanova University, another faculty in Pennsylvania. The American media recalls that during the 2020 presidential election, it distributed cookies to voters in Brooklyn.
Pennsylvania was one of the swing states coveted by Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate, and Donald Trump, the Republican candidate. It was ultimately the latter who won. As the results revealed this Wednesday, November 6, the victory of the former President of the United States looms.
