Flavie, Valentin’s suitor in the new season of “L’amour est dans le pré”, learned during the filming of the show that she was suffering from cancer. “Collapsed”, the 21-year-old young woman was able to count on the support of her new lover.
Flavie’s adventure Love is in the meadow did not go as planned… If the 21-year-old young woman did indeed find love in the arms of Norman farmer Valentin, she unfortunately learned, in the middle of filming the show, that she was suffering from cancer. His story and his fight against the disease will be discussed in the next episode of Love is in the meadowbroadcast next Monday November 11 on M6 and already available for subscribers of the M6 + platform.
Flavie had to undergo chemotherapy
In the meantime, Flavie has agreed to confide in the columns of Parisian“I had been operated on for a tumor analyzed as benign before participating in the show,” she explains. It was a few weeks later, during filming, that Valentin’s suitor learned the terrible news. “I had a sarcoma (editor’s note: a tumor developing on tissues called supporting tissues, that is to say bones, cartilage, muscles or even blood vessels or nerves). I collapsed. The oncologist immediately told me that there would be chemo. I did a PET scan, which fortunately revealed nothing more,” Flavie confides to our colleagues at. Parisian. The young woman quickly warned her lover Valentin. “I told him (…) that I would understand if he was afraid of the situation. We had only been together for a week,” she emphasizes. But Valentin didn’t let her go. “I won’t let you down, I’m not like that,” the farmer replied when he learned that she was suffering from cancer. “I didn’t ask myself the question of leaving or staying. We always have tough times in life, we have to get over it,” he explains to Parisian.
Despite her illness, Flavie wanted to continue filming Love is in the meadow. The production of the show was therefore adapted: the stay with her was brought forward and an interview with Karine Le Marchand in Paris was scheduled before the final report. “The biggest blow was when I shaved my hair, I was tired of seeing it fall, of having it in my hand, Valentin had more trouble at that moment and it was normal”, confides the young woman with emotion. “I told myself that this would be the only opportunity to get my shit together in my life. I even filmed it.” Flavie has now finished her chemotherapy treatment but is not yet in remission. “I’m waiting for results. And I’m doing well!”, she concludes, optimistically.
