François Béranger marked the 1970s. Although very little broadcast on the radio and ignored by television, the libertarian singer was able to attract a loyal audience.
His fans shared his anger against injustices and praised his songs including Prisons, L’Alternative, To the excluded or even Slice of life. More recently, the artist inspired Sanseverino who made an album of covers in 2019.
Two concert evenings
The association Things are swinging at Gradlon pays tribute to him, Friday November 22 and Saturday November 23, 2024, over two evenings at Quimper (Finistère). They will take place at the Moulin Vert neighborhood center.
In the first part, Béranger will be sung by Oliver Trévidyaccompanied by Thierry Decloux on double bass. They will perform the 12 songs from the album If we sang Béranger. For singer-songwriter Olivier Trévidy, Béranger’s words continue to resonate.
In the second part of the evening, time for the group Nickel Feet (Pierre Guérin on vocals, Micky Le Roy on drums and Willy Abaro on accordion) for a selection of 12 songs.
As with every evening, organized by the association Ça swingue chez Gradlon, the Ty Théâtre de Gouesnac’h company works on the creation of puppets linked to the show.
