“Sports meeting”: the “impossible project” of Katherine Choong and Jim Zimmermann

Imagine accompanying the Jura climber Katherine Choong and her companion Jim Zimmermann on one of the most difficult routes in Switzerland, that’s what the film “L’Envol” offers you, directed by Nicolas Falquet, awarded at the International Festival of alpine film from Les Diablerets and which will be screened this Wednesday evening at Cinémont in Delémont (7:30 p.m.). The two climbers, guests of “La Matinale” this Monday, recount in particular the ascent of “Fly”, a 550 m high wall, located in Lauterbrunnen and which reaches difficulty 8C, an “impossible project”, explains Katherine Choong. Being rope partners and in life allows “to manage certain problems, we are less careful to say things and we are able to evolve more effectively”, summarizes Jim Zimmermann. “It helps us a lot in everyday life, to succeed in finding solutions rather than arguing. We have to get to the top together and not kill each other but build solutions calmly,” says Katherine Choong. The film “L’Envol” will be screened this Wednesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Cinémont in Delémont and on November 13 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. /mmi
