Barely broadcast, the animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft has already been renewed for a second season, still on Netflix.

Tomb Raider will return to Netflix

The animated series Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will be entitled to a second season as reported Variety. The information was shared just two weeks after the broadcast of the very first season on Netflix, on October 10. Better yet, the synopsis for this season two has already been revealed: “When adventurer Lara Croft discovers a trail of stolen African Orisha masks, she teams up with her best friend Sam to recover the precious artifacts. The thrilling new adventure of Lara takes her around the world as she dives deeper into the hidden secrets of the Orisha’s history, dodging the machinations of a dangerous and enigmatic billionaire who wants the masks for himself, all while discovering that these relics contain dark secrets and a power that defies logic A power that could, in fact, be divine.

Critical feedback was generally positive for the first season of Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft. On Rotten Tomatoes in particular, the series received a press score of 73%. If the story is quite conventional, this animated series can nevertheless count on a cast of stars. We thus find Hayley Atwell in the main role, Richard Armitage, Zoe Boyle, Roxana Ortega, Nolan North and Karen Fukuhara. Great people for this series produced by Legendary Television, DJ2 Entertainment and Crystal Dynamics, the studio which manages the license. While waiting for season 2, the eight episodes of the first season are now available on Netflix.
