The actress fell in love with the arts at a young age. Not surprising, you might say, since she is the daughter of Martine Francke and André Robitaille. But the young woman has always wanted to chart her own path, and she does it wonderfully. We can also admire the extent of his talent in the series Dumas.

In Dumas, Lili Francke-Robitaille lends his features to Charlie Dumas-Guérin, the daughter of Jean Dumas (Gildor Roy) and Stéphanie Guérin (Isabel Richer). A health sciences student, the youngest of Jean Dumas’ three children is also the most sensitive of them. “I am very emotional. It’s easy to draw on myself to play Charlie,” says the performer. What’s more, she has the pleasure of sharing scenes with renowned actors, notably those who play her parents. “It’s a great opportunity for me. I am really grateful for this opportunity. These are people who have great careers and a lot of knowledge. I observe them and ask them questions, and they are available to me. I’m still learning; I think it’s a profession in which we learn all our lives. I feel blessed to be able to do it with people like them.”

Work rewarded

At 21, Lili had other film sets. We were notably able to see her at work in the intrigues ofIndefensibleof Reasonable doubt and of 5e rang. She traced her path herself through perseverance, which makes her parents all the more proud of her. “It makes me happy that they are proud of me, but I’m also happy that they recognize how hard I work and that they can witness it. I’m doing my part on my own, and it’s a point I’ve always insisted on. I don’t do this job because my parents open doors for me, but because I work hard.” Incidentally, she had the opportunity to make a short film with her mother, years ago, and to star in 30 vies while his father was in the cast. “I wish for other roles where I will have the chance to play with my parents, but currently, I am focusing on my career without being associated just with them.”

It’s unequivocal: the passion for the game flows through his veins. “I asked myself a lot of questions and tried things to see what might interest me, but now, it’s clear in my heart and in my head: I am exactly where I want to be,” explains the actress.

Developed areas of interest

Outside of acting, Lili has been dancing since the age of three, for fun. These days, she is perfecting her English in order to open as many doors as possible in her career. She also enrolled in an art history course. “It further develops my critical thinking and my knowledge of art. I love visual art. I don’t do it, but I love going to the museum.” She also enjoys creating her own clothes. “I do a lot of sewing on a self-taught basis. It comes with a lot of trial and error, but I really like it. It’s a moment of pure creation and escape, too. In my apartment, one of my roommates and I have a small workshop for her painting and for my sewing. I spend a lot of hours making clothes for my friends and me. I’ve been sewing for a few years, but I’ve been sewing more regularly for the past two years.”

Passing on your passion to young people

The filming of Dumas end at the beginning of December. She has a few voice contracts here and there, and auditions. We will eventually see her again in another series, which she could not mention for the moment. At the same time, she has been giving extracurricular theater classes since this fall at the Pensionnat du Saint-Nom-de-Marie, a private secondary school for girls in Montreal. “It’s fun to share my passion with younger people and to rediscover why I love theater.”
