They are called Cynthia et Vickie and form the Sisters Ice. This explosive duo mounted on roller (or ice) skates, born in 2014, has made a name for themselves in recent years, particularly through social networks.

THE two sisters grew up between Gargenville (Yvelines), where they return regularly, and Compiègne (Oise). And they have something to learn from: “Our mother was three times French vice-champion in pairs figure skating. »

Brought very early into the stands of the ice rinks, the two sisters quickly caught the ice virus and sliding, first on skates then on rollers. As a couple on ice, they were professional French vice-champions in 2015.

Accomplished champions

They subsequently participated in numerous competitions (individually), building skills respectable track record : Cynthia was three times French vice-champion of artistic roller inline (2017, 2018, 2021), Vickie won three titles of French champion of artistic roller inline (2016, 2018, 2021) and won a fifth place at the European Junior Championships in 2017.

“In roller skating, we are judged like in figure skating with an artistic score and a technical score. The jury looks at the expression, height and length of the jumps. We do between three and five competitions per year. It’s very physical and requires a lot of training. »

They dream of a tour with Bigflo and Oli

But Sisters Ice have also become known “for their relationship” for several years outside of gymnasiums and ice rinks. By participating in particular in music videos of singers known (Amir, Joyce Jonathan, Thomas Dutronc) or in television shows like Mask Singer in 2023.

“We created our self-enterprise and we are regularly contacted to participate in events, like at the end of October in Conflans-Sainte-Honorine during the Mil’Pat Roller Party,” says Cynthia.

“We also approach artists and productions. For example, we dream of going on tour with Bigflo and Oli or working with Gims. If that happens one day, we’ll drop the competition. »

They perform during the Paris Olympics

Followed by approximately 15,000 subscriberson their various social networks (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok…), Cynthia and Vickie do not miss an opportunity to create a buzz, like during the last Olympic Games in Paris where they presented a sport on video every evening… on roller skates .

“We found it nice to present our discipline through other sports,” comments Vickie. We did seventeen videos for fifteen sports from tennis to horse riding, breakdancing or golf. It was really fun to do and we got a lot of positive feedback. We put on roller skates in places where there is no reason to have them. »

“You have to have discipline”

Fun videos that nevertheless require a lot of work to the two sisters. “You have to be expressive, athletic, have discipline, impose things on yourself and stick to them,” summarizes Vickie. Cynthia, for her part, assumes “a quirky and sexy side” to attract people.

“It’s not just by doing a jump or a pirouette that we’re going to get there. And then the fact that we are sisters pleases a lot. »

Some years, they even dared to calendar of Advent with Christmas-related videos every day.

They are waiting for the role of their life

Close on the ice or the courts, Cynthia and Vickie also get along very well off it. “It’s very rare that we have disagreements. We work in symbiosiswith the same goal. »

While perhaps waiting for the role of their lives, the Sisters Ice will perform a series of shows at the end of the year in Soissons, Compiègne, Noisy-le-Grand and even Mandelieu, without forgetting a figure skating course in Venice ( Italy). A busy program which could well be even more full given their growing notoriety.
