The year 2023 has not been the easiest to live with for Patrick Sébastien. The famous host of Largest cabaret in the world announced, to everyone's surprise, that he was putting end of his career on French television. Since this declaration, he has not reappeared on the small screen. “I no longer interest people”he even said on RTL that year.
Difficult words, but he stuck to them. On November 2, Patrick Sébastien, however, agreed to be interviewed by RTLin the broadcast ofEric Dussart and of Jade. On the occasion of the release of his book The Carnival of the Ambitiousthe former TV host said he was, in fact, blacklisted by the public service.
Patrick Sébastien will come back to the small screen thanks to Michel Drucker
Obviously, Patrick Sébastien is not really welcome on certain television channels in France. In any case, this is what the former TV host explained on RTL, whileEric Dussart asked him if he planned to come back television sets. Since his departure, he has even assured that he has been “blacklisted” par public service.
In other words, he'd have a hard time getting a spot on a TV show again, even if he wanted to. However, this is without counting on the help of Michel Drucker, who wanted to organize an interview with Patrick Sébastien in the show Looking forward to Sunday. Upon hearing this proposal, Patrick Sébastien did not believe Michel Drucker. Yet, the interview should be registered. And it should be released on December 29 next.
Patrick Sébastien talks about the rest of his career in French television
“Michel told me: 'Patrick, for your 50th career, I would like to do a two-hour Vivement Dimanche with you.' I replied: 'In my opinion, we are going to say no to you, since we blacklisted me everywhere”remembered Patrick Sébastien on RTL. But Michel Drucker had the right to prepare this exceptional interview.
“So normally, I record two hours with Michel around my 50th career anniversary. There is still plenty to do”announced Patrick Sébastien. Those nostalgic for the host of the Largest cabaret in the world will thus be entitled to its first broadcast since his departure from French television in 2023. Nevertheless, Patrick Sébastien absolutely not planning to come back on the small screen.
At least that's what he said. on RTL. Certainly, the host remembers having “had a great time on TV”. More “She’s not made for me. And I’m not made for them”he believes. “I'm 70 years old. I'm not going to hang out on TV. And then my life is elsewhere”. In short, Patrick Sébastien and television, it's definitely over.
