Ces amateur actors have been rehearsing tirelessly since May! Like every year since 2012, l’Association intervillageswhich brings together the municipalities of Pleure, Sergenon, Chêne-Bernard, Gatey and Chaînée-des-Coupis, organizes its theatrical performance November 29 and 30, as well as November 1isDecember 6 and 7, 2024 at the Plure village hall.
An event eagerly awaited by residents of the area, and not only that. Last year, no place could be sold on siteevery evening being already full.
Promote access to culture
On the program, a comic first part followed by the piece Mint tea or you’re lemonco-written by Patrick Haudecœur and Danielle Navarro-Haudecœur, and winner of the prize Molière for best comedy show 2011. This is the story of a theater troupe in full rehearsal of his new piece. So far, everything seems ordinary. But a few days before the premiere, nothing goes as planned and the hiccups keep coming…
A “not simple” comedy, which is more interpreted by professionals », explains the president of the association Bénédicte Ressy. She also had difficulty obtaining the rights to play it. “Every year, we tackle high-quality parts . It shows that, even though we are small villages, we can do something of quality. And that above all promotes access to culture “, she declares to Voice of Jura.
DIY, “special effects”
This one and a half hour comedy will be performed by seven members of the association(Aurélie Menoud, Jean-Loup Ressy, Véronique Bouer, Pascal Ressy, Carole Paget, Samuel Gros and Béatrice Ressy), with “mystery participants” and in front 166 people every evening . “There will be a lot of DIY in the decor this year, with little special effects», Announces Bénédicte Ressy. Concerning the costumes, the troupe was lucky to be able to count on a teacher from the stage costume section at the Pasteur Mont Roland high school.
And catering servicewith pancakes, waffles and drinks will be available to the public during the afternoon. Note that places will be offered to elderly peopleand that part of the proceeds will be donated to the Association of Paralyzed People of France.
An association that revived the territory
“Before, at our place, there were no activities, no conviviality, people didn’t meet each other,” says Bénédicte Ressy. An observation which pushed these villages of Bresse Jura – some of which do not exceed 100 inhabitants – to unite to create the intervillage association in 2002.
The objective is to set up socio-cultural activities and “create links between people”. Since then, numerous events have been organized in several forms. Among them, the traditional festival of the year, in June, which has been transformed for several editions into a producers’ and artisans’ market, with the presence of artists in concert.
For the 10th anniversary of the association, in 2012, Bénédicte Ressy and her husband decided to organize a theatrical performance. “We were both at the Jongleurs de Notre-Dame, in Dole, so we wanted to create a troupe dedicated solely to the association. We only play the annual play,” she explains.
What locals in the area call “The Theater of Pleure” has never stopped and is eagerly awaited every year, even if the members of the troupe – most of whom do not do theater – change regularly. The intervillage association, supported by the respective municipalities and the Department, has around forty volunteers.
