The chorale of Langon (Gironde) “Cœurs en Chœur” will give three concerts in December at Langon, Bazas and Verdelais. She is looking for new singers.

Patrick Ardurat, 66, is the president of the association.

He is a true music enthusiast. He started in the Honfleur choir where he loved to sing with a preference for Luis Mariano, Michel Sardou et Johnny Hallyday.

Army and choirs

After 8 years in the army, 15 years in the restaurant business and 20 years in the hotel industry, the man aspires to a well-deserved retirement.

He decided to settle with his wife in South Gironde, Roaillan, in 2019.

He looked for a choir and joined the Résonances de Bazas choir. Covid puts an end to rehearsals in 2020.

In 2021, he joined the Cœurs en Chœur de Langon choir and became vice-president of the association alongside Karine Viellefond.

In June 2022, he took over as president of the Langon association. His friend, Philippe Leruste, becomes the president of the Bazadaise association in September 2022.

The two men get along well and decide to work together. With the same choir director, Thierry Bordenave.

A big success for Christmas carols

In 2022, 40 singers, aged 35 to 80 years old, find themselves in the Langon choir: 5 tenors, 3 basses, 15 female sopranos and 7 altos.

Christmas concerts in Cudos and to Villandraut mixing lyrical repertoires, French and international varieties, and Christmas carols were a great success.

In 2023, the choir has 37 singers. And participates in three Christmas concerts in Captieux, Langon et Coimères.

In 2024, new concerts are scheduled. On March 29, 2024, the “Choral Concert” with Cœurs en Chœur by Langon, Résonances de Bazas, Les Voies Fluviales by Portets, L’Air des Chants by Préchac and L’Envy by Budos was a huge success with more than 300 people gathered at the village hall Roaillan.

The two concerts at the Carmes in Langon and the concert at the Hall Polyvalent in Bazas in June 2024 called “ Party scene » are a real success.

And since you don’t change a team that likes to sing, July 14, 23 choristers from the two choirs meet at the Langon war memorial, with Thierry Urvoy at the piano for an improvised mini-concert.

Another mini-concert is organized during the forum of Langon associations, at the Salle Garros, with 18 choristers and a pianist, on September 6. A new mini-concert is organized on September 7 at the association forum in Bazas with 18 choristers and a pianist.

We are looking for all-stage singers.

The year 2024-2025 promises to be rich in musical events.

Three Christmas concerts

A Christmas concert at the basilica of Verdelais will be given on December 6, a Christmas concert at tongue, on December 13, and a Christmas concert in Bazas on December 22.

Also, the choir is looking for new voices. Patrick Ardurat would like new singers to join the choir.
