The El Gouna Cinema Festival once again highlighted the talent of Tunisian cinema during its seventh edition, by awarding two prestigious prizes which testify to the artistic excellence of Tunisia on the international scene.
Tunisian actor Adam Bessa received the El Gouna star for best actor for his remarkable performance in the film “The Phantoms”, directed by Jonathan Millet. This award highlights not only the talent of Adam Bessa, but also the quality of Tunisian film productions.
Furthermore, the film “Mee el Ain”, directed by Mariem Jaaber, was awarded the El Gouna star for best Arab narrative film. This prize was shared with the Palestinian film “Thank you for choosing our bank”, directed by Leila Abbas, thus illustrating the richness and diversity of Arab cinema.
On the occasion of these distinctions, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs sent its most sincere congratulations, highlighting the importance of these Arab recognitions. These awards reflect not only the value of Tunisian artistic proposals, but also their capacity to establish themselves in the Arab and international cultural panorama.
These successes at the El Gouna Cinema Festival underline the vitality and dynamism of Tunisian cinema, which continues to conquer hearts and minds beyond borders.
